Gernika Basque Pepper Heirloom | The Coeur d Alene Coop

Gernika or Txorixero Basque Pepper

$5.00

75 days. The gernika or txorixero, pronounced (cho-dee-share-dow) is a sweet frying pepper that is a traditional variety of the Basque people.  These are often picked green, fried whole in oil and sprinkled with salt. When ripe, they are dried and used for paprika. Very unique and hard to find outside of Spain or Boise, Idaho!

How's that saying go... No rest for the wicked? How's that saying go... No rest for the wicked?

Today's project, in addition to handing out plant orders, is pulling and stacking patio pavers. Weeee!

We're redoing the patio and I'm getting a head start on the demolition.

Thank goodness for my regular workouts. 💪
