Pepper germination has been outstanding this year. It is looking like greater than 85%, which is a huge improvement over previous years. It's a delicate balancing act of heat and moisture and I *think* I have finally figured it out, lol! Once a majority of the seeds germinate, I raise the trays up off of the heat mat. This still keeps the soil warm and puts the seedlings right under the lights. I will keep the humidity dome on, with a corner propped open for air circulation for another day and then uncover. One key to successful germination is to monitor moisture levels several times a day, plus wishing for luck, and keeping your fingers crossed! ๐Ÿ˜#thecoeurdalenecoop #heirloompeppers #growingpeppers#seedstartingindoors ...
