Principe Borghese Tomato

$4.00

Heirloom, Patio Perfect!

70 – 75 days. Determinate. This was a customer favorite from the start and we’re pleased to offer it again this year. Principe Borghese is an Italian heirloom famous for sun drying. Small, 1-to 2 ounce, grape-shaped fruit with pointy ends are very dry and have few seeds. They have a rich tomato taste that is wonderful for sauces. Vines yield clusters of fruit in abundance! You won’t be disappointed.

Pepper germination has been outstanding this year. It is looking like greater than 85%, which is a huge improvement over previous years. It's a delicate balancing act of heat and moisture and I *think* I have finally figured it out, lol! Once a majority of the seeds germinate, I raise the trays up off of the heat mat. This still keeps the soil warm and puts the seedlings right under the lights. I will keep the humidity dome on, with a corner propped open for air circulation for another day and then uncover. One key to successful germination is to monitor moisture levels several times a day, plus wishing for luck, and keeping your fingers crossed! 😏#thecoeurdalenecoop #heirloompeppers #growingpeppers#seedstartingindoors ...
