Armenian Cucumber

$4.00

Armenian Cucumber, OP

55 – 70 days. This “cucumber” grows 18 inches or more! Best grown on a trellis to keep the fruits straight — those grown on the ground will often curl. Large vines are very prolific. Sweet, never bitter, flavor, because, well, technically, botanically, and genetically, it’s a muskmelon (Cucumis melo).

I did not have enough sun where I planted this in a large container. The plant grew beautifullu up my string trellis and had lots of flowers but no fruit. I would like to try again this year, but you are out. Will you have more later? Its only Jan. 17th!

The January Itch... oh, it is very real. The urge to do something, anything, involving soil, seeds, or the garden in January. My mid-January newsletter just dropped with several great tips for scratching the gardening itch this winter, 🥶, including a how-to article on winter sowing. It's easy, fun, and you get your hands in the soil now, and blooms or veggies in the spring! 🌼 Yesssss!Winter Sowing https://bit.ly/49HA7iM If you want useful garden tips for all seasons: https://bit.ly/3YXic1m ... While it's cold and quiet outside, the growing gar While it's cold and quiet outside, the growing garage is already starting to take shape. It's a tight fit at the moment (the SUV still lives there...for now), but it's starting to green up:
Onions, leeks, shallots, and chives, thyme and mint, pansies, and my favorite today, baby snapdragons from seed I saved last fall.

A strong start so your garden can hit the ground running in May. And, it's my ray of hope on a winter's day.
