Poblano/Ancho Pepper

Mexican Heirloom

75 days. One of the most popular chili peppers in Mexico. When used fresh, these mild, heart-shaped green peppers are called Poblanos, and are use to make in the classic Mexican dish, Chili Rellenos. When dried, the red fruit turns a rich, dark red-brown and is known as an Ancho chili, and can be ground to make red chili powder. Poblano peppers have mild heat, usually around 2000ย  Scovilles. Grown from organic seed.

Yay! Welcome the first cherry tomatoes of the season: Raspberry Burst. I'm growing three plants and all are loaded with friut. Compact plants (about 24 inches tall) have round pinkish fruit with faint stripes and bits of anthocyanin blue coloring. These are unique with a flavor that's a little sweet, a little tangy.
