Mexican Heirloom, Organic Seed

80 Days. Our first crop grown in Idaho from heirloom Mexican seed was a huge success in 2016. We continue to save seed from this original seedstock — now in our 4th generation. The Zapotec is a very old Mexican variety from the Oaxaca region and grown there at elevations between 4,000 and 8,000 feet. Strong plants with very meaty fruit, and just beautiful on the plate! Grown from organic seed stock.

The Coeur d'Alene Coop
One step closer to being ready for next year's growing season! I loaded in a pallet of soil this morning...thankful that it's complete, and for my 3x week workout. 💪Supplies are in, too. That just leaves finalizing the seed purchase (after the fun part of deciding what to offer next year). 🤔Your suggestions are welcome! 🍅#thecoeurdalenecoop#2027gardenseason#groworganic#allinadayswork#organicgardening ... I write a gardening newsletter once or twice a month — real advice from my own garden and greenhouse. No spam. Just plants (and sometimes, chickens).
