Cucumber – Green Apple

$4.75

Heirloom, Grown from Organic Seed

65 days.  Green apple is my new favorite cucumber! Extremely prolific, this apple-shaped cucumber produces early and continuously… and it is delicious! Sweet in flavor and never bitter. This out-produced everything in the garden. Best when grown on a trellis. Pick regularly or you may find a few small melon sized cucumbers!  This historic variety was introduced by the Authur Yates Seed House in Sydney, Australia, and was very popular in the U.S. by the 1930s.

I love the color of these Italian Red of Florence I love the color of these Italian Red of Florence bunching onions. This bunch overwintered... I thought they'd be soft and mushy, but they are perfect. A testament to their hardiness and prefect for our cooler region.
