Named in honor of the famous opera singer and civil rights activist, Paul Robeson, star of King Solomon’s Mines, 1937.  This Russian heirloom has an amazingly distinctive sweet and smoky flavor — a nice balance of sweetness and acidity. Fruits are brick red with green shoulders and red flesh; weighing in at 7 to 10-oz. Robeson, an American, was also a Russian Equal Rights Advocate for Blacks. This variety was lovingly named in his honor. Indeterminate.
