Seed Saving is underway! These are Piennolo del vesuvio, the Italian storage tomato. My plants are covered in fruit clusters, and the flavor is just delicious. A bit sweet and tomato-y. Today, I'm roasting the flesh and making a tapenade with garlic, herbs de Provence, and basil. My fellow Idaho Master Gardeners will have the first taste later today!#thecoeurdalenecoop #tomatotapenade #piennolodelvesuvio #heirloomtomatoes ... See MoreSee Less

Ooooo, the sweet smell of ripe cantaloupe! This is Ooooo, the sweet smell of ripe cantaloupe! This is my very first melon, a Minnesota Midget, and she smells heavenly. She is about the size of a tennis ball...and there are five more behind her, a few are softball sized. Growing, and now picking melons has been has the pride and highlight of my garden this year! 🧑
