No bare ground and lots of plant diversity, that's No bare ground and lots of plant diversity, that's what I have in my raised beds. Here's  a look at bed #2, 12 by 4. Strawberries own the front 4 feet, but the remaining is stuffed with cucumbers, eggplant, peppers, onions, and potatoes, plus borage, calendula, and zinnias to keep the pollinators happy!
