I now know that I have reached middle-age…….I have been going to bed with a seed catalog!

Roll on Spring, cannot wait to get started again.

Happy New Year – Many blessings and many many carrots!

Leeks are transplanted! YAY!! This is a very time-consuming task, one thread-like leek plant into one cell of a 6 pack x 288 -- but I got 'er done. Two varieties this year: Autumn Giant, a beautiful, large, late-season leek (can over-winter if well mulched), and King Richard, an early season leek (75 days) and cold-hard to 20 degrees. Hard to imaging these wispy seedling will grow into thick, flavorful stalks -- oh, but they will! Want some for you garden?
