Seed Starting for the Home Gardener

Saturday, March 22, 2025 | 10am – 1pm

We’ll cover all the basics of starting a vegetable garden from seed (plus herbs and flowers, too).

Topics include seed biology, what seeds need to germinate, soils and fertilizers, the timing and understanding of days to maturity, and seed-starting equipment.

Plus, each participant receives a free packet of seeds. Let’s get our 2025 growing season off to a great start together!

Registration is through the University of Idaho Extension, Idaho Master Gardener Community Classes, Kootenai County.
