Padrón Spanish Tapas Pepper

$5.00

Roll the Dice…Sweet or Spice?

60 days. The Padrón pepper is a Spanish heirloom variety from the municipality of Padrón in Galicia, Spain, and they are famous for their heat unpredictability — some are very mild and others are surprisingly spicy! The peppers are early maturing, thin-skinned, and are often blistered in a hot pan of oil and tossed with sea salt for a typical Spanish tapas.  Scoville heat ranges from 500 to 2,500. Plants are grown from organic seed.

We may be a few days away from the garlic harvest, We may be a few days away from the garlic harvest, but it's shallot time!

These will cure in the garden for a bit, then I'll move them into the greenhouse to cure completely.

Planted in the fall, at the same time as garlic, shallots are super easy to grow and a great value crop (they store for months!).

Try some this fall!
