Italian Heirloom!

60 days. Italian Red of Florence is a deep red, torpedo-type old Italian heirloom. It makes a delicious red scallion with its dark green stems, but it can also be held in the ground for the entire season to form small to medium-sized bulbs. Bulbs will store for months. Small bulbs are perfect for pickling! This is an unusual heirloom — hard to find. Sold in pony packs, 12 plants per pack minimum.

Please note: Cool-season crops are not available for purchase online this year.

All cool-season crops, including onions, will only be offered for sale at our Spring Fling Cool-Season Plant Sale in mid-April.

I write a gardening newsletter once or twice a month — real advice from my own garden and greenhouse. No spam. Just plants (and sometimes, chickens).
