Ground Cherry, Aunt Molly’s

$5.00

The Tomatillo’s Pineapple-ly Cousin!

70 Days. These yellow “husk” fruits are bursting with sweet pineapple flavor. In the same genus as tomatillos (Physalis), ground cherries are covered in a papery husk, but taste like super sweet ripe pineapple. Compact plants produce loads of small, yellow fruits that are ripe and ready to eat once they hit the ground (hence “ground cherry”). Remove the husk and enjoy! Perfect for snacking or making pies and jams. Plants are known to reseed themselves generously! Limited quantity available.

Out of stock
