Jalapeño Pepper, Purple

$4.50

Open Pollinated, Patio Perfect.

75 days. This beautiful jalapeño pepper plant could be classified as an edible ornamental — as striking purple flowers and leaves transform into equally striking peppers! The spicy fruit is a bit smaller and milder than a typical jalapeño pepper. Fruits start out green and turn purple before finally maturing to a bright fire engine red.  Great for colorful fresh salsa, stuffing, or pickling.

I'm a bit tardy in posting these carrot photos, bu I'm a bit tardy in posting these carrot photos, but here are the gems I harvested just before Thanksgiving. They were in the last bed to be prepped for winter. Planted in mid-July, I managed to save them throughout the raised bed rebuild. I'm happy to say 1) the carrots are delicious, and 2) all beds are finally put to bed for the winter. No more hauling soil...time for a rest!
